Hey… our sons are the same age :) But.. to answer your question – they have these new ‘life size’ games that are really cute – here’s a link for the candyland one. it’s a candyland rug (like 4 feet by 4 feet) and they have all different games. it’s good for little kids because everything is super-sized :)

Also, this game by Eric Carle is good: it’s called The ABC Game :)

Hi there, here are some of my most favorite educational toys:

I gave you a few price ranges, but all these toys are good, I like to buy the board games because its a fun time, and I ALWAYS remember when my parents and I used to play family board games at night, it was one of my most memorable moments that I remember from childhood

Good luck! and Merry xmas to your family from ours!

For an older kid, but I’m sure Noah would still like it since he could throw stuff!

Basically, you spin the spinner and then you try to toss one of the beanbag frogs onto the lily pad that coordinates with what the spinner landed on.

Goodnight moon game. Really great, especially if Noah likes the book

Again, really good if he likes the Brown Bear books

I also got her candy land and a number and letter game from Kohl’s, I just can’t remember the name.

Our son will be 2 in a month, so I’ve already begun his birthday and Christmas shopping. Here are a few games I suggest…
    1. "I Spy" preschool game. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2331528
    2. Richard Scarry Busytown game(technically for 3+ but if you are supervising, no need to worry) http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3568601

"I Spy" books, Richard Scarry books, books where the child can press things to make noise, Mr. Potato Head and puzzles are great too, and educational!
