@yourafatboyshadow You actually know nothing about history. CIVILIANS used the shelters while the service personnel fought the Germans. Outnumbered we beat the Luftwaffe. Then we started raiding German held territory (Saint Nazaire, Dieppe, Norway) and the newly formed SAS started kicking arse in North Africa. We turned the tide in North Africa at El Alamein (where no US soldiers fought). Besides, the USSR was the real winner and would’ve eventually swamped the Germans with sheer numbers.
