With all the panic in the streets its feasible they made a wrong turn. It’s not THAT hard to lose your bearings in New York.
Its also possibly by saying they lost sight Egon meant they DID have a visual but Mr SP turned arund a corner out of their field of vision. And with everyone freaking out and getting in the way they just couldnt keep up. So they knew where he was but theydidnt actually have a visual on him.

Oh so non-realistic graphics means inferior? Mario’s had the same graphic style for over twenty years, and is still going strong. And Mario is far better than the majority of the games with super-realistic graphics.

I remember in college a couple were once standing on the hood of my car. I opened the door and got in and shut it fairly hard and they just stood there like. “Eh, big deal”. I started the car and pulled out and they still stayed on. even as I began to drive. Of course when I started moving faster, THEN they on my hood and flew off.
